See bug 32770, which has a preliminary description of the problem.

Some additional information how the mess started.

I runned a bugathon query for bugs assigned to karnaze that need a testcase.
This list contained 54 bugs. I went trough the list by selecting the first in
the list and going ahead with the next field in the bug. When it was necessary I
a added a testcase keyword and a comment line that I pasted from a txt file.
When I submitted changes there comes usually a window with something: like your
next bug in your list is.... It is possible that I used this screen to enter the
changes. If you follow the changes that appeared in bug 32770 it is obvious that
these changes can not occure by hitting the submit button in the wrong window.
It requires more than a micrs..t evil OS to do this.

Bernd
Just adding a comment to see who is effectly on the CC list, because it seems to
me that I have seen more than the people in the CC field.
Damned , please see the report:
Changes to bug 42303 submitted Email sent to: pollmann@netscape.com,

ckritzer@netscape.com, karnaze@netscape.com Excluding: mielke@licel.com (change
your preferences if you wish not to be excluded)

py8ieh=bugzilla@bath.ac.uk is not listed in the CC list:
buster@netscape.com,karnaze@netscape.com,mielke@licel.com,pierre@netscape.com
So sorry for the spam to py8ieh=bugzilla@bath.ac.uk, but I think it always
interesting to see bugs evolving :-).

I forgot to mention: I am using Win98, 2000060820.
Bernd, don't worry about Ian Hickson (py8ieh=bugzilla@bath.ac.uk) being CCd on
any change you make on this bug. He's one of our most faithful QA folks and he
set his mozilla account to watch any modification on any bug that belong to
certain Gecko components.
Pierre, thats not the point, there where hidden entries in the CC list. This
time using a NV4.6 to check wether problem comes from mozilla or bugzilla.
May be I do not understand the database behind: in this bug Ian Hickson is
definetely not on the visible CC list, but every time change is made he gets an
cc. Should I file a new bug?
Hi Bernd, I think what Pierre was saying is that you don't need to be on the CC
list to get CC'd on all change. You can set your account to do this here
(bottom entry):

http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/userprefs.cgi?bank=diffs

So no additional bug needs to be filed. Good eye to notice the extra email
address though, thanks!
I think this may well be a dup of bug 41373.
Probably it should be announce somewhere that certain mozilla builds
should not be used for bugzilla work.
Andreas you are right, closing this bug as a dupe.
