[File | Save Page As... | Save As Type: Text Files] does not save the file.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load http://justheadlines.freehostia.com/feed_only1.html (requires javascript)
2. File | Save Page As...
3. Save As Type: Text Files
Actual Results:  
File is not saved. Download Manager UI shows the save hanging at Starting...

Expected Results:  
File saved.

The above procedure works for Firefox 2.
I'm using the portable version of Firefox/3.0b4.

I was wrong. The file is actually saved even though the Download Manager UI shows it hanging at "Starting...".
