Description

Starting today, I get checkout failures like |cvs server: cannot find module `mozilla/suite/config/version.txt'| which break building (this is in a checkout line done by client.mk).
Sometimes, it hits harder and more modules are reported failing (e.g. this tinderbox log: http://tinderbox.mozilla.org/showlog.cgi?log=Mozilla1.8-SeaMonkey/1205929020.1205929225.16088.gz&fulltext=1 ), sometimes it seems to work for my tinderboxen that check out from cvs-mirror - it didn't work yet on my local machine.
I heard on IRC that multiple people are seeing this problem.

I hear that cvs.m.o seems to be fine but cvs-mirror should be considered critical, so raising severity for that.

Is this working now? Someone pointed this out on IRC last night and I didn't know there was a bug. Suspicion was the mirror got hosed when the master cvs had its netapp partition disconnected, and that should have fixed itself within an hour or so of the disk being fixed and the rsync locks being nuked. People seemed to think it was working on IRC.
cvs-mirror.nl had a stuck rsync lock again, which was stuck from a few minutes after I cleared it last time. Give it 15 minutes and try again.

Still does not work here and I'm frustrated, I lost some files from my tree during CVS update and cannot find nightly tarball to make my tree complete. Is there a list of mirrors?

/cygdrive/c/usr/src/trunk/mozilla/toolkit $ cvs up
cvs update: Updating .
cvs update: cannot open directory /cvsroot/mozilla/toolkit: No such file or directory
cvs update: skipping directory

/me notes that when you posted this it was 3 minutes after I said "wait 15 minutes then try again"

/me being frustrated since 05:51:39 PDT and even after 15 minutes of waiting.
the first rsync after I cleared the lock is still running. It's about midway through mozilla/netwerk at the moment. I'll post here again when it's done.

In the meantime you can try cvs-mirror.sj.mozilla.com, that one should have a complete copy right now.
it's still going... I took cvs-mirror.nl.mozilla.com offline in the GSLB for now, so you should get the IP address for San Jose when you look up cvs-mirror.mozilla.org now anyway.

Ondrej, if you need nightly sources in the interim, and don't mind them being a few days old (this issue affects my ability to generate newer sources), Fedora's been doing nightlies for weeks now, so you can use one of our tarballs.

Link is at:
http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/repo/pkgs/firefox/mozilla-20080317.tar.bz2/455e5135a1ba7cddcdcec83f57adc721/mozilla-20080317.tar.bz2

It was generated by:

cvs co mozilla/client.mk
cd mozilla
make -f client.mk checkout MOZ_CO_PROJECT=xulrunner,browser

This is definitely going to take a while, currently in mozilla/suite with about 31K files remaining to copy. (out of 145K total that it started with)

Thank you, the sj mirror worked fine for me (actually I just pointed cvs-mirror.m.o to the right ip). Unfortunately, I would need fresh tarball, as there was a lot of activity in our area. But I may use it next time.
OK, it's caught up, and I've added cvs-mirror.nl.mozilla.com back into the GLB pool. Reopen if there's any related issues remaining.
