Windows XP and Windows Vista don't show the tooltip of the hovered element anymore, when it was autohidden after 5 seconds. It only will reappear after you moved to a different element and then back. Maybe Mozilla should be doing the same? Or/and only for Windows? I'm in favor of this, because it might make tooltips appear more seldom at unwanted times, while I don't think it would negatively influence the usefulness of them.

Tooltips doesn't seem to time out anymore in Firefox. That might be a new bug, but it might be intended as well. No idea.
