Using Firefox 2 I was unable to install any dictionary or language pack. See screenshots for examples

Actually, all add-ons are affected. That looks like REPO_PATH in config.php is not pointed to the add-ons file repository. Jeremy, could you please check on that? Does preview even have access to the add-ons file repo, or is it going to be a big deal?
Summary: Dictionaries & Lang Packs fail to install → Add-on fail to install from preview

Would it be a problem if preview had r/w access to REPO_PATH? If it is should I make a copy or ?
We just discussed this in the channel and came to the conclusion that r/w access to the production repository is not good because people may play randomly with preview, not expecting it to change their production data. Do you use a script when you push the production DB to preview? Maybe you could add an rsync for the repository tree to it? As far as I can tell, these two can always happen together.
Feel free to reassign it back to me when preview has a repository copy.

Did this yesterday with a fresh db import.

Seems to do the trick; tried a not-so-random sampling of top add-ons and themes for Firefox, as well as SeaMonkey, Sunbird, and Thunderbird add-ons/themes... Verified FIXED (stillWorkingBeforeWePushToProd++)
