When deleting an event from the calendar views, it would be nice to have a confirmation popup in order to avoid deleting important data...

Perhaps as optional behavior, but IMO "Edit > Undo" (Ctrl-Z) is sufficient.

For CalDAV calendars, it's really isn't sufficient - especially when it comes to CalDAV {auto}scheduling and invitations.
