Fx 3.0b4:

If I have a mouse in a location where the dropdown will show after I start typing in the location bar (ctrl + L, s l a), the dropdown will automatically select the item under the mouse instead of not selecting anything).

Expected behavior: mouse doesn't affect selection when I am using the keyboard

Under Windows, this works properly.
The main cause of this was fixed for beta 5 in bug 297080. A less common manifestation of a this bug is bug 420804.
