42440 - Need to host wallet tables on Netcenter

The final wallet tables need to be hosted at netcenter, and the client needs to 
be updated to find them. This probably applies only to the Netscape version, 
although if we have two copies of the tables (one on netcenter one on 
mozilla.org for mozilla builds) then they might diverge and will complicate 
testing.

John -- please find someone at Netcenter to own this one, or take it yourself

Met with Netcenter today - they are going to follow-up directly with Steve Morse 
to get the wallet tables (as well as the content for the Interview and 
Demonstration pages see bug 42434).  The Netcenter guy is Reed Hopkins 
([e-mail]), and he works for [e-mail].

Reassigning to Steve Morse since Reed will give Steve the URL.

URLs' should use 6_0b1 unlike what Jan has.  Note the lower case "b" and the 
"1".

The first URL, "wallet1", should be used for the interview link (bug 42434)
Second URL, "wallet2", should be used for the demonstration link (bug 45096)
Third URL, "wallet3", should be used for the table text file (THIS bug 42440)

johng, what is special about this particular sequencing?  A more logical 
numbering would be:

wallet1.html: wallet table
wallet2.html: index page for demo and interview
wallet3.html: interview page
wallet4.html etc: demo pages

We have confirmation on the URLs. To be 100% clear, the correct URLs (only
listing the ones the effect client code) are:

and they go to the pages that Steve suggested.

Steve is planning to check these URLs in tonight even though the server side may
not have these pages live for a week or so (but definitely before beta2).

Fix checked in.  Wallet tables for the commercial product are now hosted at
   http://home.netscape.com/bookmark/6_0b1/wallet1.html
whereas for the mozilla product remain on mozilla.  They are at
    http://www.mozilla.org/wallet/tables/wallet1.html

not sure how to vrfy this... using 2000.08.01.04-m17 (beta2/commercial) bits on
linux, i went to the prefs and checked Forms and Passwords: in the textfield for
Server for Forms Manager Tables it says,

   http://home.netscape.com/bookmark/6_0b1/

is this expected?

Steve,
Could you provide a specific test description that could be used to verify that
this bug is fixed, and functionality is working?
If the link is wrong, or the server side system is broken, what mis-behaviour
would be detectable? If it is working, what user visible activity can be performed?

You can verify as follows:

I. Removing all existing tables from hard disk
----------------------------------------------
1. Exit browser
2. Delete all *.tbl files from your profile directory
3. Delete all *.tbl files from any subdirectories under the directory that your 
browser executable is located

II. Fetch tables from netcenter
-------------------------------
4. Start browser
5. From menu do edit->tasks->privacy->form-manager->samples
6. select samples
7. fill in any field
8. From menu do edit->tasks->privacy->form-manager->capture
9. Check to see that the file wallet1.tbl got downloaded into your profile 
directory

III. Making sure that tables are being used
-------------------------------------------
10. Exit and restart browser.  This is important because tables downloaded in 
one session are not used until the following session.
11. From menu do edit->tasks->privacy->form-manager->samples
12. Go to sample2 and fill out first, middle, and last names
13. From menu do edit->tasks->privacy->form-manager->capture
14. Repeat 11,12 but go to sample1 this time
15. From menu do edit->tasks->privacy->form-manager->prefill

At this time you should see your full name (first+middle+last) prefilled in the 
name field of sample2.  This will prove that the wallet tables are there and are 
being used.
