See testcase, click on the plugin placeholder.
You should get the normal stuff about "Firefox is checking..., no suitable plugins were found", but that's not happening in current trunk build.

I guess this is a recent regression.

Oops! This is probably invalid. It seems to happen in combination with one of my currently installed extensions.

This regressed since yesterday, where it did work with Noscript still enabled:
http://bonsai.mozilla.org/cvsquery.cgi?treeid=default&module=all&branch=HEAD&branchtype=match&dir=&file=&filetype=match&who=&whotype=match&sortby=Date&hours=2&date=explicit&mindate=2008-03-20+04&maxdate=2008-03-21+09&cvsroot=%2Fcvsroot
So I wonder what changed in the Mozilla code that made Noscript to fail here.

Giorgio, you happen to know what Noscript is doing with the Plugin Finder Service?
Mac OS X has this problem too...I reported 428616 for Mac OS X Leopard.
Is this really just another form of bug 425814?

If someone would change the platform info to "All" for me? It's obviously a cross-platform problem.
Yeah, I think this is a dupe of bug 425814.
There must be a Bugzilla problem because it was still marked UNCONFIRMED even though it was already marked a duplicate. It's now a duplicate of 424421 on the books, and I think this needs to be marked as a dupe of 425814.

ABP and NoScript require serious changes to fix bug 425814.
I can see ABP 0.8 on the horizon, or at least 0.7.6 in the near future.
Depends on: 425814
I regularly see this bug on www.lesechos.fr with a new, empty profile - no extensions whatsoever ...
I also regularly see this bug with:
http://www.maclarenbaby.com/global/index.php?lang=en&mosConfig_lang=english

one thing that should be clear is that Flash IS installed on my machine and works correctly with other 99% of sites I browse.

I'm on Vista SP1 32bit.
