User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12 Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.12 I have the setting for the mail to be listed "in the order received", and "ascending". Normally it's fine, but occasionally, say every couple of days, I see a newly arrived mail's dated as "12:00 AM" the NEXT DAY!! (In the future.) Or even 2 days later at 12:00 AM!! Now is 11:40 PM, 3/21, and I received a new mail a little past 11 PM tonight, and in Inbox it's dated as 3/23 12 PM!! Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. I don't do anything. Just the arrival of an email does. 2. 3. Actual Results: I have to wait and see for another email to appear like that. Expected Results: The newly arrived mail should be listed at the bottom of the list, with the correct time!! I have noticed this for the last month or two, if not longer. I don't know what factor is in its happening. Certain type of mail? (Seems always a commercial email, junk or not.) Or at certain cycles, regardless of the type of mail? (Definitely doesn't happen on every email I receive or nearly 1/10...) If it's at certain cycles, is it by the number of emails , e.g, every 15 emails or etc.,or the lapse of time, e.g. every two days or two and half days...? I have no clue...
Correction; in my report, "3/23 12 PM" should be corrected as "3/23 AM". It's ALWAYS 12:00 AM, a near future day!!
The Date column displays the date the sender set. In thunderbird3 there is also a Received column one can use. Go into View | Source and give the Date: line for the "wrong" mails.
