42522 - can't remember browser size: localstore.rdf corruption

As of the 6/14 morning build, the mozilla browser window started coming up at a
smaller size, and if I resized it and quit, then restarted, it still didn't
remember the new size.

Moving localstore.rdf aside cured the problem (but unfortunately caused several
much worse problems in the mail/news window, bug 42516 and bug 42520), so I
guess my localstore.rdf got corrupted somehow.  I'll attach the old version in
case anyone cares.

The RDF file is not corrupted; perhaps the use of it is. Someone on the browser
team should look through navigator.xul and figure out what's wrong.

Using the 6/20 verif build, I am getting a crash on shutdown everytime on linux
(possibly bug #39858, but as mccabe notes at the end, there can be independent
shutdown crashes that exist concurrently). 

At any rate, with a crash at shutdown, all bets are off as to what is 
successfully persisted to localstore.rdf. However, in general I can see 
that persistence is working: start browser and resize, start composer, 
close browser, close composer --> the browser size is persisted correctly
because it is not blocked by the crash, the composer size though does not
get written out.

I also note that the window position is not honored on linux, but that's bug 
#42345.

verified worksforme (browser sizes are persisted on linux, but positions are
off (but that's bug #42345.)).
