Crashed twice in two days when double-clicking the tab bar to open a new tab. Both times I was using FF for a while.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
FF crashes and closes

Expected Results:
Open a new tab
This works for me using Firefox 2.0.0.13 and a new profile on Windows XP.
You could try out the following trouble-shooting options:

- Firefox's safe-mode to exclude extension/theme problems
- a new profile
- a reinstall in a new empty folder
