Although this is reported several times in bugzilla none of the stacktraces available are similar to mine. I have current cvs HEAD debug build of 'suite'. It has appeared for me in mailer. I have opened and email which was a forward of two attached messages (.eml). I double-clicked one of the attached messages and while closing that window I got the assertion. Stacktrace will follow.

David, as per bug 415495 is it now a requirement for controllers to be removed manually? (Prior to bug 352791 it wasn't necessary.)

I didn't know that it was ever unnecessary in the past.

It would be nice if it were not needed, though.
