User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080311 Firefox/2.0.0.13 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080311 Firefox/2.0.0.13 Cookie exception button stalls for about half a minute then shows error "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete." If I click "Continue" it proceeds like it should. If I click "Stop Script" it still shows up anyways but with nothing in the cookie block list. It does this no matter what site I am currently on. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to Tools, Options 2.Click on "Privacy" tab 3.Click on "Exceptions" button Actual Results: Stalls for about half a minute then shows error "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete." If I click "Continue" it proceeds like it should. If I click "Stop Script" it still shows up anyways but with nothing in the cookie block list. Expected Results: Just go to the list without stalling or giving an error and have all blocked cookies shown.
how many entries does the hostperm.1 file in your profile directory have? (you can measure the number of lines by perhaps opening it in word, or you could give the file size as a rough indicator.)
also, did this not happen in 2.0.0.12?
It didn't happen in 2.0.0.12 and as far as the hostperm.1 file thing, I have no clue what you're talking about. If it's some sort of log file that I have to find or something then if you can tell me where to look I can probably figure it out and let you know about that file. Although, I tried today the clicking the exceptions button and the window actually popped up right away without errors but it doesn't list any blocked cookies but at least yesterday it listed them.
hostperm.1 is the file mozilla uses to store all your site permissions (for cookies, images, etc). it's likely located under C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\{some random string}.default\hostperm.1.
