In the live bookmark context menu there should be an entry "Mark all as read" whereupon all new entries would change to the read icon.

This bug is not a duplicate of 260849 - it's asking for the ability to mark entries as read/unread separately from actually clicking on them to open the page, not asking for the UI to indicate read status.
