initial view of Prefs
see this on the trunk, Mac only. eg, 2000.06.14.08-m17. open up the Preferences
dialog, and notice that it's not drawn completely, ie, has blank areas. will
attach screenshot.

simple workaround: select another category and the dialog draws properly.
