Here's a script I cooked up that'll take a bz2 binary tarball of a firefox build on ARMEL (such as the one produced by 'make package') and turn it into a deb that's installable directly on the device. It sticks itself into /usr/local/minefield and does the minimum work necessary to get an application menu item to to show up. Figured I'd attach this here, since it's probably the easiest way to get useful debs out from automated builds; we can always move things around later inside the package and make the paths prettier and whatnot.

vlad: very cool. How about we put this patch in either bug#418851 or bug#418852? We could then close bug#42253 as a dup.

Sure, feel free to move it, or just dup both of those against this given that this bug has a working script.

Closing this bug as DUP of bug#418851, as Brad has a patch there which creates deb installs as part of Makefile.in.
