perhaps a regression of one of these: bug 245944, bug 256510, bug 216479

works fine in 2.0.0.12
fails in version 3.0a1pre (2008032002). don't have a regression range.

Would be nice to get this fixed before 3.0a1 ships as it's kind of dogfoodish annoynance.
Need someone to pin the regression range + bug

I've got a 1.5 month range with the builds I have installed
works version 3.0a1pre (2008011304)
fails version 3.0a1pre (2008022803)
None of the bugs mentioned in comment 0 checked in during that time.

A bit clearer STR: get a message with a return receipt, every time you click come back to that message you will get asked if you want to send one or not. (Or it will get automatically sent, if that's your setting.)

Current seamonkey doesn't have this problem, which casts a strong suspicion on bug 416666.
