Details

Build 2.0.0.14pre(20080328) on Leopard.

After a while, the gmail IMAPS account stops responding. Nothing happens when you click delete or try to move to the next message. Usually, you should see a message in the lower bar saying that something is happening.

Restarting TB fixes this. This has happened 3 times now.
This is still happening....

After "What"?

Get IMAP protocol log, and check IMAP flow.
See Bug 402793 Comment #1 for getting log.
See http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc3501.html for IMAp command/response.

Because IMAP logging writes mail data too, log file size can become huge, if you send mail with huge attachment and save copy of sent mail to IMAP folder.
When getting log at first, watch log file size every one hour, and estimate log file size per a day. If log file size per a day is acceptable, run your TB with logging enabled till problem occurs again.
No response from bug opener for 4 months. Closing as INCOMPLETE.

To bug opener, please re-open bug if problem still remains, with attaching IMAP protocol log, with evidence of "Tb's fault".
If you need help, read Gmail/Help articles and ask for help at support forum such as MozillaZine forum, please.
