I can't set start or end time when I create a new event for the first week of the daylight saving time (which, here in Italy, means Monday 31 March 2008 to Saturday 5 April 2008, inclusive, note that daylight saving time changes on Sunday 30 March 2008, but this very day is not affected), because Sunbird automatically shifts it by 2 hours.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new event for any day in the first week of the daylight saving time
2. Set start time or end time (both are affected)
Actual Results:
(start/end) time will be set 2 hours later than the time you actually chose. The other (start/end) time may be recalculated accordingly.
Expected Results:
Time to be set the way you choose it.
It seems this bug only affects Windows 98 (and this is why I'm not setting severity to major), because I can't reproduce it on Sunbird 0.7 for Windows Vista, not on Sunbird 0.5 for Kubuntu 7.10 "Gutsy Gibbon ".

Could you retest with Sunbird 0.8 Release Candidate 1 on Windows 98 that has bug 400318 fixed? Maybe Win98 has outdated timezone information.
