User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; sk; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080311 Firefox/2.0.0.13 Build Identifier: 2.0.0.12 (20080213) if i start thunderbird i see all attachments as icons but the window is too small and to see file name, i must scroll; if i drag window border up, it autoresizes back and the problem is now fixed but some mails works only on second mouse click (if scrolling by keyboard - it's ok) i'm askin you - why thunderbird so stupidly autoresizes window panes? i need to see attachment names and i'm able to offer little bit of main pane height but the program does not agree as i see Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.start mozilla tb 2.click on mail with attachment - you can't see it's name 3.resize attachemnt pane 4.click another mail with attachment - pane autoresizes back 5.close mozilla tb - goto 1 Actual Results: I WANT TO SEE ATTACHMENT NAMES! Expected Results: ATTACHMENT NAMES SEEN ...
Thunderbird normally sets the height so that you can see the icons and the names. But if you make the message pane too small, then Thunderbird also makes the attachment pane small. To see the icons and the names, make the message pane larger, then reselect the message. Thunderbird does this so that the attachments do not hide too much of the message body. Alternatively, you can set this preference to false, making the icons smaller: mailnews.attachments.display.largeView You can also set the minimum height of the pane in userChrome.css. Thunderbird resets the attachment pane for each message, because some messages might have many attachments and some only a few. So it is not clear what specific improvement you are proposing.
This is WFM on TB 3.x. meriu using latest TB 3.0.4 the issue is gone?
