I am using the google provider extension for calendar system, i don't know if that would be where the problem is, or even if this is filed, but i genuinely tried to find it, and was unable to do so.

When i go to create a new task on my google calendar, or any other calendar, if i select a repeat: example repeats yearly: it won't repeat, until i go in and edit the event. however after i edit the event and change the repeat a second time to where i desire it to be, it always repeats them, but it's annoying to have to do it twice.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open your calendar
2.create an event using the button on the standard toolbar, and give it a yearly repetition
3.right click on the event, and change the repetition to yearly and it will work, unlike before.
Actual Results:  
When you use the button on the standard toolbar, repetition does not always, in fact almost never, saves, and you are required to edit the even, and set the repetition a second time.

Expected Results:  
instead of requiring that one set the repetition twice, it should be capable of reproducing it the first time.

I was using the default Thunderbird theme, but i am using several extensions, some of the relevant ones might include lightning, provider for Google calendar and GMailUi

additional report, it works the second time and repeats it, but after a while, then it gets rid of it again, it takes a few days, but eventually all the repeats attached to my Google calendar disappear, as well as those on my computer.

What version of the Provider for Google Calendar extension do you use?

The latest release (0.3.1) doesn't support creating repeating events, see the FAQ on the extension homepage.

I guess that means you are using Provider for Google Calendar 0.3.1.
