same problem here

I think it's a dup of bug 426193.
I am using:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008040514 Firefox/3.0b5
Zhe Wang: Are you using the page zoom feature? If you reset the page zoom, does it work ok?
Sorry for reply late.
I am not using the page zoom feature.
I confirm this bug on Firefox 3.1b (en-US) build on Windows XP SP2.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b1) Gecko/20081007 Firefox/3.1b1
I am experiencing this with:

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090312 Minefield/3.2a1pre

and the released 3.1b3 - and, of note, I did /not/ experience this with 3.1b2.

A yellow 'loading' message sticks on the top of the window, as well. I also see a similar problem trying to open Google Voice using 3.1b3 or 3.2a1pre.
Flags: blocking-firefox3.1?
We can't block on this until it's confirmed, especially since many of us running the beta are not encountering this problem.

Tony: Google Reader is in our topsites that we check, right?

Zhe/Justin: does reloading the site help?

I am unable to reproduce this on Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3) Gecko/20090305 Firefox/3.1b3 just yet. Sounds like its cross platform issue. Anyone, can you attach a screenshot of what you're seeing? Is there a particular RSS site that you see that shows this? We'll add this onto our topsite regression test list.

I was also having the same issue. Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-GB; rv:1.9.1b3) Gecko/20090305 Firefox/3.1b3.

I tried creating a new profile in which it worked fine so I started turning off extensions. It turns out that disabling Firebug 1.3.3 solves this issue for me.

Actually just disabling debugging for Google Reader (I had console and script logging enabled) solved the issue.
I can confirm that turning off console logging for www.google.com in Firebug solves this for me.

Disabling Firebug also solved it.
Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.x or later in safe mode? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.
