User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080311 Firefox/2.0.0.13 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080311 Firefox/2.0.0.13 The file upload browse dialog remembers where it was last used and can show on an unseen display if extended desktop is disabled Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enable dual monitor display. 2. Open firefox on second display. 3. Upload a file [http://hydra.nac.uci.edu/indiv/franklin/doc/file_upload.html] 4. Close firefox. Disable dual monitor display. 5. Open firefox. 6. Upload file. Actual Results: Browse dialog is displaying on screen that is no longer present. Firefox appears to be locked up, but is waiting for modal dialog. Expected Results: Dialog shows only on attached monitors. Dual-display monitors
This also happens when I connect to a dual monitor PC via RDP. If Firefox was left running on the desktop, Firefox will move to the single monitor but will continue to try to open the upload dialog on the, now, non-existent screen. And since it's a modal dialog it doesn't show up on the task bar so it can't be moved. Browser is Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
preferable to dupe this to an existing bug if there is a match, esp among those in bug 426354

I'm still having this issue when connecting with RDP.
I just tested this at work and it's still happening when the extended desktop is disabled. I tested with a new profile running in Safe Mode.
