User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080311 Firefox/2.0.0.13 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080311 Firefox/2.0.0.13 If you open a new Firefox window from a running process instance (firefox.exe) using the 'New Window' menu item (from the 'File' menu), you will get a blank 'Bookmark Toolbar Folder'; or maybe you lose it (because is not usable). Actually I am more inclined to the first hypothesis, because the GUI allocates the same space. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Firefox (no matter if there is already another instance running). 2. From the just open Firefox, choose 'New Window' from 'File' menu. 3. The new window will lacks the 'Bookmark Toolbar Folder'. Actual Results: The newly open window lacks (or presents a blank) 'Bookmark Toolbar Folder'. Expected Results: The newly open window should have the same GUI layout scheme of the parent window; the window should not lacks 'Bookmark Toolbar Folder' (or presents it blank). The same bug happens in my Linux box running Ubuntu 7.10 with Firefox 2.0.0.12. Now I post the 'about:buildconfig' of this Firefox (Win Vista). #START-POST{ about:buildconfig Build platform target i586-pc-msvc Build tools Compiler Version Compiler flags $(CYGWIN_WRAPPER) cl 12.00.8804 -TC -nologo -W3 -Gy -Fd$(PDBFILE) $(CYGWIN_WRAPPER) cl 12.00.8804 -TP -nologo -W3 -Gy -Fd$(PDBFILE) Configure arguments --enable-application=browser --enable-update-channel=release --enable-official-branding --enable-optimize --disable-debug --disable-tests --enable-static --disable-shared --enable-svg --enable-canvas --enable-update-packaging #}END-POST. I couldn't reproduce this with Firefox 2.0.0.13 on Windows XP. Maybe caused by an add-on?

OK, I'll list my add-ons: All-in-One Sidebar Answers British English Dictionary del.icio.us Dictionary Switcher Dizionario Italiano DOM Inspector Download Statusbar Talkback I will disable one by one extensions and will report here results.
(In reply to comment #1) > I couldn't reproduce this with Firefox 2.0.0.13 on Windows XP. > Maybe caused by an add-on? You're right disabling 'All-in-One Sidebar' and restarting firefox the problem disappears. Now left a question... Is this a Firefox or add-on problem? The fact that the problem appears with the add-on is not a guarantee that Firefox has not problems. Now what to do with this bug?
