426414 - the browser stops responding if I open to many windows or tabs

If I have a few windows or tabs open (4-5) sometimes when I click a link, open a new window/tab etc. and try to get on with my work in another tab it stops responding, but after a few seconds it works again. I also experienced it on a Windows XP system. I didn't notice something similar in the previous versions.

Does the problem occur also in Firefox Safe Mode?
(it temporarily disables add-ons and themes, this test will help us narrow

seams to work just fine in safe mode. I'll keep working in safe mode to see if it crashes

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.x or later in safe mode? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.10 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
