although there's the possibility to enter a support email-address in the developers section of the new AMO page, that address doesn't show up on the main page of the addon anywhere

It does show it, however it puts it at the top of the reviews.  Problem is that your extension is new and does not yet have a review.  See NoScript as an example:

It shows both a support URL and support email address with a text blurb just above the reviews.

This is related to bug 425510
Not only is it shown where it is poorly, but it shouldn't be where it is.

Also see bug 426469
Even if you have a review, you can't view it if sandboxed, and thus can't see the support URL/email as well.
