Any chance that you update the mime.types file for your webserver so that when
downloading a .zip file it sends:
application/zip
instead of:
application/x-zip-compressed
which has the old mime types.

Check:
ftp://ftp.iana.org/in-notes/iana/assignments/media-types/media-types

just get the mime.types file from fx apache.org. That include the new mime type:
application/zip zip
gila also needs these mime types. I would do it but i don't have
the password.

image/svg-xml svg
application/x-xpinstall xpi
Who has....?
I do.
So this bug is -> Fixed?
I didn't really understand your comment. Are you going to fix it or did you just
want me to know that you have the password?
My comment meant, "I have the password." I'll get to this...

Fixed. For zip www.mozilla.org already sent application/zip. I added svg and xpi
there, too. Please verify the bug.

I just realize now that I was actual speaking about the FTP server....:)
Could you change that too?

I thought I already fixed http://ftp.mozilla.org/
Did you try it recently?
On http://ftp.mozilla.org/ the mime type is correct "application/zip", but on
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/ the mime type is still "application/x-zip-compressed"
I added those mime types to http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/ access today. But I
don't know if we can do anything about ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/ because that's
coming from ftp server (wu-ftpd 2.6.1) and I don't really know what mime types
have to do with ftp-server. Isn't that client feature?

Sorry! Client feature of course.
The other ones are fixed.
