User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080311 Firefox/2.0.0.13 Build Identifier: version 3.0a1pre (2008032803) Pressing command-U (the shortcut apple-U) does return a beep only, but does not call the command Message Source, although this menu topic does name this shortcut. Calling this menu item manually does work as expected. Reproducible: Always

I'll have to check on reproducability - it does work sometimes. It does not depend on the type of message.
It depends on whether or not you've opened the View menu before trying cmd-U
