On OS X 10.5.2 with a Fresh install of Firefox 3 Beta 5, only the Firefox menu is accessible if you don't uncheck the initial dialog which prompts you to decide if Firefox should be the default browser. The only way to get the Menus to appear is to go Firefox->Preference or Firefox->About Mozilla Firefox. This causes them to appear. This is only temporary as upon the next restart the menus will still be missing until you decide if Firefox should be the default browser or do the workaround as noted above. Note that this is not a graphical issue and you cannot just click in the blank space where File, Edit, View etc menus should be to get the Menus to appear.
Uninstalled and reinstalled and I'm still seeing this.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install Firefox 3 Beta 5
2.Open Firefox but do NOT uncheck the dialog which asks you to decide if Firefox should be the default browser
3.
Actual Results:
Menus don't appear
Expected Results:
All Menus should be present.

The menus also come back if you click the Desktop and then click the Firefox window again, after answering either Yes or No.
Fortunately other people have reported this too...this bug should be marked as a duplicate of bug 424266. Bug 424486 also has a good screenshot and even a video of the problem! This bug regressed sometime after Firefox 3.0 Beta 4 and before Beta 5.
Does this bug still exists for Firefox 3.5.2?
