when I type CTRL-F to search for text, the characters g and y are not displayed correctly - I'm no expert in fonts, but I'd say the part below the baseline is missing. Instead, artifacts of the cursor remain visible below the baseline.
But when the text entered is not found and the inputs' background changes to red, all is rendered correctly.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open firefox (page is not relevant)
2. Type CTRL-F
3. Type ggg...
Actual Results:
In the Find toolbar's input, the part of the 'g' characters below the baseline is missing, so that they look like 'o' characters. Cursor artifacts remain.
When the entered text is not found in the web page displayed, background changes to red and characters are displayed correctly.
Expected Results:
correct display of 'g' characters while I type, no cursor artifacts.
I use the english version of Firefox 3 Beta 5 on a german version of Windows XP SP2.
