Tag containers should be allowed to be moved around within the Tag folder left pane of the Library. However, they should not be allowed to be D-n-D'd (or moved) out of that folder. STR: In the Library, Select a tag container (foo) in the Tag folder. D-n-D that item to say the Bookmarks Toolbar folder. Tested results: A new folder with the tag name (foo) is created on the toolbar. This folder contains all the bookmarks that were tagged with the tag (foo). The tag itself is gone. Not to be found anywhere. Expected results: Not sure exactly. Two options I see: 1) Don't allow moving them out like this at all. or 2) It is kind of a nice feature. But let's not destroy the tag. Instead, if D-n-Ding a tag query away from the Tag folder, then do as describe in Tested Results, except as a *Copy* The tag container should remain in the tag folder and all bookmarks tagged with (foo) should stay tagged as such.
after bug 419731 probably tag folders are not draggable at all. Tag containers are sorted by name by default. Copying it should probably produce a smart query pointing to the same results (actually it should be enough copying the place: url of the query to a new bookmark).
fixed in bug 423515, can't drag them at all.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
