User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008032620 Firefox/3.0b5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008032620 Firefox/3.0b5 If on google maps (possibly elsewhere), click print. A new window launches and a firefox print dialog box automatically opens. At this point, with the dialog box open, all text entry into e.g. text boxes, address bar, search bar, is reversed/backwards. That is, new character are inserted to the left of the previous character instead of to the right. Ex. typing "hello" yields "olleh". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Navigate to http://maps.google.com 2. Click print (javascript code launches popup and print dialog) 3. With print dialog open, enter text in e.g. the original browser address bar. Actual Results: As described. Expected Results: Normal!
I can confirm this behavior on Vista as well (with b5). It also applies to other text windows e g where I enter this text in bugzilla... Closing the print window (not the firefox pop-up window, but the windows OS print window) restores the functionality. It also applies to other sites that opens the OS print window (. There are some duplicates of this, but I haven't found any investigation made. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407379 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402048 I bit irritating issue so I think it should be analyzed at least.
