Closing the Fedora bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=444887 against this, and noting that IMHO bug 427442, bug 427475, and bug 427062 are duplicates of this one.

I can confirm a similar problem with my install of RC2 over 2.0.0.14 on Windows XP SP2 It seems that some bookmark folders are simply not displayed. The bookmark and folder information is still in the bookmarks HTML file when exported from ff 3 RC2. There seems to be no discernible pattern on whether a sub folder is shown or not, i.e.: Bookmarks Toolbar\Development\HTML (has sub folders JavaScript, CSS, Design) - not displayed Bookmarks Toolbar\Development\ASP.net (no sub folders) - not displayed Bookmarks Toolbar\Development (has subfolders, but none are displayed) Bookmarks Toolbar\Personal\Check Out Later (no sub folders) - is displayed What seems to be happening is this: Some (one or two) of the bookmarks in each sub folder are being displayed in the development folder and mixed in with some of the bookmarks that were already in the development folder (some are missing when comparing what is contained in the library to what is present in the HTML file exported). I can provide the json and html if necessary, though would prefer to send directly to a developer/debugger for privacy issues (work related links that I'd rather not have publicly available) and the fact that I do not want to alter the files to remove that information.

not enough informations to debug this, feel free to reopen if you can provide more informations or mail a testcase to a developer
