following up from bug 413500 on mailto discussion and this recommendation by Abdulkadir: web.de, gmx.de, gmail.com, hotmail.de and yahoo.de for Germany. That should cover the most popular free mail providers.
that sounds like a good list. can you get me contact emails for each of web.de and gmx.de for me to contact? then i can get started on asking them if they'd be willing to do the work necessary and give us permission
Looking at the websites I found: gmx@gmx-gmbh.de and info@web.de If you don't get the response you need from these adresses, I can call them and ask for the information we need.

This is not blocking Firefox 3 de, i.e., bug 415583. Removing the dependeny. It is a follow-up to bug 413500, though.

Well, it certainly wouldn't hurt to have more providers for mailto-links. Do you know what the status here is? Have we asked the providers already?
