User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080311 Firefox/2.0.0.13 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080311 Firefox/2.0.0.13 When dragging a tab, if a popup occurs, the tab drag & drop does not complete, nor can the button in the popup be clicked. Appears that the only way around this is pressing by using keyboard (Esc/Enter/Space) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Might be hard to reproduce this, but when I log into my UniSa exchange mail www site, I get a username:password box first, after entering valid logon, page starts loading & then I get the popup: "Window Title: The page at <URL> Window Contents: [exclamation icon] ReferenceError: HelpWindow is not defined Steps to reproduce 1. Open multiple tabs. 2. Open a web page that generates a popup window. 3. Before popup window event occurs, grab a tab and start to drag it as if wanting to move it to a different placement in tab bar (don't release mouse button) 4. Once popup is displayed, attempt to click the OK or top right [x] button to close popup. 5. Press Esc, Enter or Space to get rid of window. Actual Results: 1. Can't close popup window with mouse 2. I think that the window that is opening gets replaced with the URL of the page from the tab that was being dragged (was reproducible most times) Expected Results: Should be able to click the X or the buttons in popup page that's opening shouldn't be affected by dragged tab - dragging event should be canceled & treated as an event that never took place. reproduced bug with default theme - usually use Noia - present with and without Noia theme.

I confirm that this is still a problem in the current (as of writing) 3.6.x releases of Firefox. This may be a duplicate of 100180, but I've only ever experienced the problem while moving tabs around, and not moving items in general.

I confirm that this is still a problem after a retest with Firefox 3.6.12 (current stable release as of 2010-11-17) with a freshly created profile. I would not call this issue's status 'resolved' in any sense of the word.

Does it also happen in Firefox 4.0 Beta 7? Also which URL are you using for testing purposes?

I apologise: I think I have mixed up my terminology. By 'pop-up window' I meant 'pop-up dialogue', as in request for password authentication, cookie request confirmation, and the like. In which case, this probably doesn't match what you were thinking. Is it the case that what I am describing is a duplicate of bug 100180? If not, do you still require me to test with 4.0beta?

Ok, then it makes sense. Also reading the initial comment now makes it clear that the reporter was blocked by a modal dialog. In this case its a dupe of bug 100180 for real. Thanks.
