Hi Arjuna, Krishna,

Do you have any suggestions for localizing this page? (Currently it's translated from English, and we would love to make it more customized for Telugu speakers.)

The objective of this page is to provide the users with a few starting points they could use to enjoy the web and get the most out of Firefox. We want to promote community/user oriented collaborative sites with good user experience in the locale and good standards support.

The current en-US defaults are:

Work

* Google Docs
* Remember the Milk
* LinkedIn
* Clipmarks Add-on

Learn

* Wikipedia
* Topix
* HowStuffWorks.com
* Answers Add-on

Play

* YouTube
* Hype Machine
* Miro
* PicLens Add-on

Connect

* Criagslist
* Yelp
* Facebook
* Me.dium Add-on

Would you like to suggest any changes to this list?

Thanks!
Staś
wikipedia should serve telugu wiki pages. The link refers to English version. I suggest that this be changed to telugu version te.wikipedia.com

Others could be retained, as there are no similar popular websites in telugu.
what's the status on this one?
Hi,

As Arjuna said wikipedi should change to te.wikipedia. And Google Docs translation for telugu is available, we can change language setting
after logged into that.

So i think we can go ahead with this(te.wikipedia) change and remaining
current en-US defaults. what do you say?

Thanks
Krishna

Stas, can you have a look at the page and tell me if it is ok from a productization point of view for a possible debeta-ing of Telugu? Thanks
Hi Krishna and Arjuna,

Just wanted to check with you if you're happy with the customization suggested in comment 9 (changing the wikipedia link only).

I wonder if any of the sites listed on the pages below could be of any interest for the Getting Started page (see comment 6 for the purpose of this page)?

* http://www.alexa.com/browse/general?&CategoryID=191884&mode=general&Start=1&SortBy=Popularity&R=True&Path=
* http://www.my-telugu.com/dir/
* http://www.teluguwebsite.com/Telugu_weblinks.html

I also found these 3 sites that might be worth considering? (I admit I found them mainly because they have "Telugu" in the title and/or URL)

* http://www.teluguone.com/index.html
* http://www.telugucinema.com/c/publish/
* http://www.telugupeople.com/

Please let me know what you think. Thanks!
The first set is in English. The second set is primarily commercial and there are several other sites also. If we have to select them to use, we could end up promoting only few.
Arjuna, thanks for the insights. What would be your recommendation then?
I would like to suggest the following site, as it helps the users to start using Telugu on their computers. It is non commercial site as well.
http://etelugu.org/
Since this bug is fixed and Telugu moved out of beta in 3.0.7, I created a new bug for the site suggested in comment 16: bug 481867.
