Firefox 3 beta 4 consumes more and more memory with each refresh - which is possibly why people who're experiencing problems with auto refreshing pages - they cause FF to get sluggish and slow because it's consuming so much memory.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open a page
2.Refresh it
3.Check task manager each time
4.Watch memory usage fly upwards!
Actual Results:
Memory usage spiraled upwards

Expected Results:
A refresh of the page without an increase of memory usage

FF frequently hangs in such situations.
do you have a specific url where this happens ?

need specifics. if you can reproduce using:
* latest version of all plugins (flash, etc), java (1.6_0_13)
started in safe mode
 https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
with beta
 http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html
then please update the bug.

might have just been that beta. for now

I seem to have this problem in ff27.0.1 & 28 when rapidly refreshing a large page. also, first refresh consumes a fair chunk. there also seems to be a running 12k/sec memory leak, maybe only when using this bugzilla page. will do some more testing after this comment closed. maybe I can narrow the problem down.
