Hello,
Some websites, when visited in Mozilla, get a 404 (Not found). But these sites
can be found easily by Netscape 4 and MSIE 5. Here is a list of sites I have
been unable to reach in Mozilla:
http://exotrip.virtualave.net/
http://gnutella.wego.com/
http://www.xml.com/
on linux 2000-061608, first site gave me an index heading.
--
Second site an error, but in html:
"Unable to Locate Group
Your destination group could not be determined
You clicked a link to a WeGo.com charter group which could not be correctly
determined. This problem could be caused by an incorrect link or if you are
using an older version of the Netscape or Microsoft browsers."
--
Third site was a two-word page stating: "REFER TO:"

Tested with Build # 2000061708 on Win 98 SE
Also tested with NN 4.72 and IE 5.0
All 3 sites work correctally with the legacy browsers
With Mozilla I did not get the 404 error. I got the same errors using Win 98 as
RKAa got using Linux.
sugest keyword 4xp be added

Marking bug as confirmed but don't see the 404 error (my probelms were the same
as RKA's. Windows 95, build 2000061808. These errors may really be seperare
bugs, but not sure. I looked, but did not see any dupes.
I am suggesting nsbeta2 as one of the sites with a
probelm is xml.com. With all the talk about XML we don't want to have a problem
there that would be embarrassing! Is XML.com a top100 site?
http://exotrip.virtualave.net/
gives the Index heading
http://gnutella.wego.com/
gives "Unable to Locate Group"
"Your destination group could not be determined"
http://www.xml.com/
just gives "REFER TO: "

Marking nsbeta2+ given the high profile of the sites listed. We need to get
more information on the problem, and if at that time the problem seems less
critical, we can reevaluate.

Testing on PC/Linux, build 2000062610, I can confirm that this bug is fixed.
All three URLs load fine now (as opposed to e.g. build 2000062020).
