at some point we may need a way to mark duplicates. Ubuntu's brainstorm has a duplicate marking function. This post on the brainstorm blog: http://blog.qa.ubuntu.com/node/2 shows they don't have it nailed down. * to start, make a way to mark an idea as a duplicate of idea X * talk to the brainstorm guys, see what they are thinking on how to improve their system, where the pitfalls are ** sometime ideas are similar but not duplicates, other times it's too close to tell and users may want to dispute this
