User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; it; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008032619 Firefox/3.0b5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; it; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008032619 Firefox/3.0b5 When typing inside any password-style form field (i.e. the ones where you see dots instead of the actual typed characters), I cannot enter characters which require the Option ("alt") key to be held, like @, #, [ or ] on an Italian keyboard. Nothing appears to be entered in the field when I press them. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. go to e.g. http://pma.cihar.com/STABLE/ 2. put the text cursor inside the password field 3. type a character which requires the Option key to be held, e.g. "@" on an Italian keyboard Actual Results: Nothing is inserted in the password field, the field remains empty. Expected Results: A dot should appear in the password field, indicating that the character has been inserted. I'm using a white MacBook 2.2 GHz, MacOS X Leopard 10.5.2, all set to Italian locale, Italian keyboard. Inserting those chars works fine in other browsers like Safari and Camino. Also if you copy those same chars from somewhere else and then paste them inside the field, they are correctly inserted.
