User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008032619 Firefox/3.0b5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008032619 Firefox/3.0b5 I was using the Plugin Finder service, but while Fx searched, all text disappeared, leaving buttons; you must press Continue. Later, the first screen of text came up. It says plugins are available, but no list appears. Pressing Continue shows a screen that immediately closes. Authorware is no longer supported, which might be part of it, but this is odd behavior for a browser. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to a page with a missing plugin. 2. Try to use the Plugin Finder service. Actual Results: Weird screens showed. Expected Results: It should have said no plugins found.

Do you use noscript ?

ABP, yes. Bug 424421 might become a duplicate of bug 425814; the first deals with XP having the problem, and the second points a finger at ABP and NoScript too.
