User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008032620 Firefox/3.0b5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008032620 Firefox/3.0b5 mailto-links produces an error in this firefox version in combination with thunderbird Version 2.0.0.12 (20080213) if thunderbird is opened it mean: thunderbird is running but without reaktion. first close thunderbird or restart your system. at the same time i run firefox 1.5 and it opend the same link without restarting. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open thunderbird and firefox 3b5 2.click on a linked e-mailadress 3.get the error message
I can't recreate this behavior. It works for me on the latest nightly build: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008041606 Minefield/3.0pre and Thunderbird 2.0.0.12. If you have extensions enabled, be sure to disable them and try again. Also, check on the preferences menu (Tools->Options, Application Tab) and see what the default hanlder is for "mailto" protocol. It should be set to "Thunderbird" if you always want mailto links to open in thunderbird.
