User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008041606 Minefield/3.0pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008041606 Minefield/3.0pre With the last approved patch on this bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402264 FF3pre doesn't print blank pages anymore. But now it prints incomplete pages when I need to print only a selection of rows/words. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: I've attached an example file. To see the bug open it and: 1.Select from the first row to the 80th one; 2.Click on File->Print and then select "Selection" radio button; 3.Click on ok; 4.See that Header and Footer weren't printed, rows from 1 to 49 were printed, rows from 50 to 80 not. Actual Results: Header and Footer aren't printed, some rows or some pages aren't printed too. Expected Results: Header and Footer will be printed, all the rows and all the pages will be printed.

Confirmed. When I select everything on that page, and then do a print selection, then only one page seems to be printed out. On branch, this works fine.

(In reply to comment #0) > Header and Footer aren't printed Yup, that's a known issue (it's mentioned in bug 402264 a few times) though I don't think we have a bug on it yet. > some rows or some pages aren't printed too. That's a dupe of bug 428339, I think. ("Print Selection output is limited to one page in trunk")

Marking this as a dupe of 428339, as comment 0 and comment 2 both sound like they're basically describing that bug's problem. ("Print Selection output is limited to one page in trunk")

I think that those bugs (428339 and 429337) should block final release of firefox 3.

Good! I hope they'll be fixed before final release. :)

Is bug 425094 a duplicate of this? Lots of people still reporting this problem in Firefox 3 beta 5, including me. I can confirm this bug in Firefox 3 beta 5 in Linux Ubuntu Hardy. Steps to reproduce: * Highlight some text or objects on the page using the mouse * Select File menu - Print - Options tab - click Print Selection Only tickbox * Click Print Expected result: * Printer outputs highlighted selection only, with header and footer Actual result: * Printer outputs completely blank page. No selection, no header, no footer, nothing on the page at all, completely blank. Importance: * This is vital functionality. It is unreasonable to expect users to print out dozens of pages when all they require is one highlighted paragraph. * Furthermore this is environmentally unfriendly, a waste of paper.

(In reply to comment #9) > Is bug 425094 a duplicate of this? Lots of people still reporting this problem > in Firefox 3 beta 5, including me. I just now flagged that bug as a dupe of bug 402264, as suggested by someone there. It's been fixed in the time since the Firefox 3b5 release -- I posted a link on that bug to where you can download a recent trunk build, if you want to confirm that it's fixed.
