If the second window is focused, the tab still opens in the second window. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open firefox 2. Create a new window 3. Press ctrl+T in the original window Actual Results: New tab opens in the new window Expected Results: new tab should open in the focused (original) window I'm using ubuntu's package, from the 8.04 repos
I just tried to reproduce it again and I could not do it. When I did have the problem, and I clicked on the 'go' button in the URL field, the ui on the other window was changing instead of the focused window.
I'm pretty sure this would have been noticed by others, and the reporter is saying WORKSFORME. If it was a problem then I expect it has been fixed in the last year.
