After selecting a custom application to open a file with, the choice is not remembered.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click an attachment in Gmail (.c in my case)
2. Open With -> Other -> Browse -> Select gvim.exe
3. File opens in Gvim
4. Repeat step 1
Actual Results:  
I was forced to repeat step 2 instead of selecting gvim from the dropdown list.

Expected Results:  
gvim should have been in the Open With dropdown

Possibly unrelated: the icon for the file did not show up correctly.

Not sure when this was fixed, but this problem is not present on Firefox 57, at least not on either Windows or Fedora Linux.
