Bug 409287 (Report broken website tango icon) is unlikely to be fixed before Firefox 3. Haven't found any bug for Windows and MacOS X.

We should get a cross platform icon, even the same icon, but without the compression artifacts that the current icon has.

Of course, a solution for each platform would be best, but I think a plan B can help.

I don't know nothing about icons. It's a good idea on paper. Anyway, why you haven't proposed that to the Bug 409287 report?

I think you should set this bug as DUPLICATE of Bug 409287 and write your idea to that bug. You'll get also more visibility IMO.

These are two separate issues.  409287 is about making the button image cross-platform, and this bug is about polishing up the button image.  Although related, these are not duplicate issues; Andrés was correct in filing this as a spin-off bug instead of hijacking 409287.

In any case, with the report site button removed by bug 430217, both this bug and bug 409287 are no longer relevant (unless the button is somehow resurrected in a future version).

Ok, I create only a dependency. I think any way this bug can be leaved opened, since if it will be fixed one of the reasons bug 430217 was fixed will no longer exists.

We have brand new crash reporter icons for XP, Vista, OS X and Linux from firefox 3 development, but they didn't land since we removed the button.  If we add the button back, we have the new artwork ready, so I'm resolving the bug.
