confirming with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008041819 SeaMonkey/2.0a1pre and flash 9.0 r124.
This is no leak because the memory is returned after closing the page but it could be a flash bug.
I really have no clue where this bug belongs to, somewhere in Core

This is a bug in the flash plugin itself.
I get the same problem in Opera 9.27 and the same flash plugin.
I didn't test it forever, i let Firefox2 running from 35mb to 200MB and Opera only from 55MB to 70MB.
and I hope I get it right the third time:
The used memory increases ~1.5MB every 3-5s

I'm able to repro this bug on these configs:
Shockwave Flash 9.0 r115, minefield from 19th april, win2ksp4
Shockwave Flash 9.0 r124, ff3b5, latest pre-release ubuntu hardy
afaik r124 is the latest flash so someone should definately contact adobe.
It didn't seem to do it to me. I'm running the latest nightly with Flash 9.0 r124 and my FF memory usage only went from 94MB to 129MB which isn't unusual for a page high in Flash content. It was not climbing either. I watched it for a full minute and it didn't rise. Stayed at 129MB.
