I might be wrong, but I think that in the vast majority of cases the history dropdown button in the toolbar is used to go "back in history".  As such, its current placement (to the right of the *forward* button) is very counter-intuitive.

Since the dropdown now has backward and forward history, what about putting it in between the back and forward buttons?
