Unlike the setting of options in Opera 9x series, FF3beta5 does NOT remember the "ZOOM" factor chosen for legibility -- with failing eyesight Firefox accessibility options and features were recommended to me, but as a new user I don't see the accessibility I was told Firefox provides.
Each time I open a new tab in the same session, each time I open a new FF3b5 window, each time I restart FF3b5 the same problems occurs over and over-- and I cannot find instructions on how to modify the startup file so that I COULD possibly do it myself.
Losing vision is frustrating and invites a lot of anger especially after a product, any product, is recommended as providing "visual accessibility" options.
Even with the "Large" and Jumbo" themes the "default" icons seem to be constantly variable: every other time I open ff3b5 there is a "HOME" icon, the next time there isn't.
Keyboard shortcuts and judicious choices of icons can make it bearable: the variability with no pattern, no predictability only adds more frustration unnecessarily on top of the base problem.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open a new tab
2.open a new window
3.open or start FF3beta5 again
Actual Results:
open FF3b5
set "zoom" in first tab
open a second tab
have to set "zoom" choice again
open a new ff3b5 window same session
have to reset ZOOM to desired magnification.

AND, excuse caps, please, THIS IS NO "FORCE TO FIT TO WIDTH' FEATURE, EXCEPT FOR PRINT SOMEHOW WHICH IS NOT CLEAR YET -- EXCUSE ME BUT THE ABILITY TO 'FIX' THESE CHOICES SEEMS ELEMENTARY -- EVEN IF NOT THIS SESSION, SHOULDN'T IT BE POSSIBLE TO FIND THE "ZOOM" OF CHOICE OPERATING THE NEXT TIME YOU OPEN THE FF3B5 BROWSER?

Expected Results:
ONCE, ONCE: SET THE DESIRED ZOOM AND HAVE ALL PAGES OPEN WITH THAT SETTING, ALL TABS, ALL NEW WINDOWS, ALL NEW SESSIONS OF FF3B5 WHEN YOU RESTART BROWSER OR RESTART PC.

AS A COMPUTER SCIENCE INSTRUCTOR I CANNOT RECOMMEND MOZ FF3B5 TO MY DEPARTMENT OR TO MY STUDENTS, OR TO MY COLLEAGUES BECAUSE IT DOES NOT, AND NEITHER DOES THE FF2.0.0.14 VERSION HAVE THE ABILITY TO SET "TYPE, FONT AND FEATURE SIZE" ONCE AND HAVE IT CONTINUE FORWARD FROM THAT POINT;
IT ISN'T INCORPORATED INTO THE STARTUP CODE FOR FF3B5 OR FF2 EITHER: SURELY THAT WOULD BE A SIMPLE THING TO DO EVEN IF THE CURRENT CODE DOESN'T PERMIT "SETTING ON THE FLY" AS IS CURRENTLY POSSIBLE WITH OPERA 9X AND 950 BETA.

DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS A BROKEN FEATURE OR AN ENHANCEMENT TO BE REQUESTED, BUT SINCE I WAS TOLD FIREFOX HAS A STRONG ACCESSIBILITY POLICY I WILL ACT AS IF IT IS A BROKEN FEATURE.
A missing feature is no bug, it's an enhancement.
Using CAPS makes this bug unreadable because many people including me will ignore the in caps text.

Resolution: --- → DUPLICATE
Summary: View choices do not get or stay set: each new tab, each new window, each time FF3B5 is opened I again have to click on "Zoom" feature to enlarge text enough to be legible; in Opera 9x series you only have to set this once and it stays set! → Zoom level is not stored
